Prostate Cancer
Mr. D. T., a 68 years old Gentleman came to 'Ayurveda' clinic on 19/12/08. The patient was having increased frequency of micturation and pain in the abdomen during micturation. Patient was a known case of adeno carcinoma of stomach, diagnosed two years ago on 28/07/06. Partial gastrectomy with omentetomy was carried out that time. On 16/12/08, with same symptoms, patient was admitted for bilateral orchidectomy. At this stage the patient was detected to have carcinoma of prostate. S.PSA level was 1000 units and extensive skeletal Mets were found in Bone Scan. MRI scan of hip pints performed in December 2008 revealed metastatic changes in various regions like left iliac blade, ilium, acetabulam, ischium and part of superior pubic ramus on left.
Dr. Bendale (19/12/08) explained Ayurveda approach towards cancer treatment and gave the patient an excellent moral support. The complaints started reducing within 15 days and good clinical improvement was observed. There was no abnormal frequency of micturation and no pain at all. The energy level within few months increased significantly and with rapid improvement in general condition of the patient. The patient was fit to resume all his normal activities.
The bone scan was repeated on 25/06/2009. There was no major change in the areas of skeletal mets. S.PSA was 5.823 ng/ml. Kidney parameters were absolutely within normal limits.
The patient which was solely on Ayurvedic medicines. A bone scan was again repeated on 28/01/2011. There were skeletal focus in traces in vertebrae, left scapula and left acetabulam. All other mets were not detected in this scan.
Mr. D. T. is still on Ayurvedic medication. He is leading a very normal and excellent quality of life. This was achieved only because of the potential of Ayurvedic medicines and along with the efforts taken by Dr. Bendale and faith, patience and continuity by Mr. D. T. and his family. |
